The Role

The manufacturing team operates in 3 main areas: peptides, small scale small molecule API and large scale small molecule API. We produce batches from a few grams right through to hundreds of kg scale. Peptide and small scale API manufacture is performed in laboratory like cGMP environments in large scale glassware; large scale API manufacturing is carried out in highly engineered large scale equipment.

We are currently seeking to expand our manufacturing team within the Small Molecule API manufacturing organisation. We are looking for motivated individuals who can bring knowledge and expertise to our teams. Whether you are wanting to take your first steps into the pharmaceutical manufacturing, or are an experienced industry professional, you can be sure we have a role and the potential of an exciting career here for you at Almac. As a process technician you will be responsible for the manufacture of small molecule APIs/Intermediates whilst adhering to all GMP and HSE requirements.

The products we manufacture are used by our customers in clinical trials and we also produce a number of launched marketed pharmaceuticals. Please note this role involves a weekly rotational shift pattern (Monday – Friday)

week one: 07.45-16.15 

week two: 15.45-00.15

week three: 23.45-08.15 

Essential Criteria

GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics

OR

Significant relevant experience of working in a manufacturing/production position

Desirable Criteria

(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exist)

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Science related subject (i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Science, Engineering)
  • Educated to A-level (or equivalent) standard.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing/production environment
